Chamonix Sotheby's, the skier’s partner

On an international scale with Merlin Surget or at the heart of the valley with Chamonix Alpine Ski Racing, Chamonix Sotheby's is the chosen partner for all those who are passionate about skiing. Focus on the agency’s two leading partnerships.

Chamonix Sotheby's, Alpine Ski Racing’s partner

A local institution, Chamonix Ski Alpin Racing brings together the discipline’s future champions. United by their passion for sport and the mountain, the Chamonix Sotheby’s team naturally decided to participate in the club’s life.

Signing on for 3 years in autumn 2021, this partnership reflects the agency member’s commitment to local associations. With 170 members, Alpine Ski Racing dynamically supports even its youngest members through competitions.

In order to preserve nature and the glaciers that are rapidly melting in front of our eyes because of the effects of global warming, the club’s directors organised three “zero carbon” races in March 2022. Thanks to this new initiative, which is designed to be sustainable, the club wishes to raise the participants’ awareness and respect for the environment. To reduce their carbon footprint, skiers travelled to the competition by bus and train.

The organisers continued with their ecological approach, even awarding the winners pine trees to replant instead of the usual plastic trophies.

Since February 2022, the agency has also been involved at the highest level as Merlin Surget’s sponsor. The snowboarder represented France at the last Olympic Games in Beijing.

Originally from Les Houches, the young athlete already has an impressive record in the snowboard cross discipline. After starting at an international level in the European Cup in 2014, he was noticed for his brilliance in 2015 at the European Youth Olympic Festival by winning two gold medals (in individual and team events).

In 2017, he finished fifth in the World Championships in Kilnovec (Czech Republic) and claimed his first Top-10 in Montafon (Austria) during the World Cup. In 2019, he achieved his first individual podium in the World Cup in Cervinia, Italy.
