Recruitment: Aurélie and Ryslane talk about joining Chamonix Sotheby’s International Realty

In 2022, the Chamonix Sotheby’s International Realty team has grown, welcoming three new recruits. After Pierre, Aurélie Favret, Business Manager, and Ryslane Giraud, Sales Assistant, have also participated in a joint interview.

Can you tell us about your career path?

Aurélie: “I used to be the manager of Summits, the paragliding and ski school in Chamonix and Megève, where I worked for 15 years. I was then assistant to the Mayor of Chamonix, Éric Fournier for 4 years, before taking up the position of Business Manager at Sotheby’s in January 2022.”

Ryslane: “My career path is directly linked to the Chamonix Sotheby’s International Realty agency. When I got my baccalaureate, I started studying towards a BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur, a 2-year diploma) in real estate which included an apprenticeship.
I worked at the agency for two years until I graduated, before being hired there.”

What made you want to be part of the Chamonix Sotheby’s International Realty team?

Ryslane: “I very much appreciated the quality of the training throughout my apprenticeship, as well as the way the team helps each other out, which is very important.”

Aurélie: “When I first met Sonia and Lionel, the founders of the agency, they were very welcoming and I immediately felt a good atmosphere in the team.
I was also particularly interested in the work itself because it is a very versatile position with responsibilities.”

What is your role in the real estate agency?

Aurélie: “As Business Manager, I assist Lionel, our director, in all his tasks and projects, while ensuring the proper functioning of the agency.”

Ryslane: “Since the end of my training, I have taken on the role of Sales Assistant and am more specifically in charge of the estimation and prospecting division of the agency.”

Can you tell us what you like the most about Chamonix?

Ryslane: “What I like the most about Chamonix is the atmosphere, the architecture, and the many services and amenities available. It is also town full of life, with a lot of things happening throughout the year.”

Aurélie: “I am a native of the valley and I would not be able to live anywhere else! Our quality of life is very important to me, whether with regards to family, social life, professional life, sports, or in the beauty of the landscapes.”
